An important Advice to all students for JEE Mains & Advanced courses

JEE main contains two papers , Candidates have to opt for either or each of them. Each paper contains multiple choice questions. The 1^st Paper is for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses as well as the 2^nd paper is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. It is conducted offline mode only.

JEE main is programmed a fixed exam pattern. The paper – I is taken for three hours and consists of thirty multiple choice questions in each of three subjects – Physics , Chemistry and mathematics. There is negative marking as well for incorrect answers. Candidates are awarded 4 marks for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers.

JEE main examination will be conducted on 3^rd April , 2016 in Offline mode.

Engineering aspirants must attempt Paper-1 and Architecture aspirants need to go for Paper-2. The papers contain multiple choice question. The subject combination for each paper varies, each directed for 3 hours. Paper-1 combines Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, modes based on online as well as offline. Paper-2 combines Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawings, modes available as offline only. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. Candidates who have passed their Boards and they must have cleared at least 5 subjects on QE. The date-of-birth must be on or after October 1991 (as per 2016). The number of attempts which a candidate can avail for Main is limited to three times.
